Over time, the people and things that once held profound meaning in our lives gradually fade from memory, giving way to new presences and shifting perceptions.
Superseded explores this gradual change of memory and meaning. Each work consists of a watercolor portrait. While the portrait remains clearly visible, both the image and its frame are gradually overtaken by wallpaper, as though being absorbed into the surrounding surface.
The works reflect on the fragile persistence of memory and the inevitable transformation of our perspective as time passes.
