Invisible Connections, 2026 print on textile H150xW200

Inspired by a few movement and dance workshops I participated in, I created this work about the interplay between individuality and connection. Each participant moved within their own space, yet at the same time, together they formed a group.

I created watercolors of some of the participants, capturing their unique ways of moving and being present. I combined these individual images into a single group composition, which was then printed on thin, light fabric.

When the work hangs, the wind sets the fabric in motion once again. In this way, the group depicted also takes on a temporary, ever-changing presence. The work depicts the often-invisible connections between people: each on their own, yet connected to one another. The movement of the fabric emphasizes the fragility and transience of this connection.
